Thoraxembalmer was my black/death metal project that I started in 1995. Lyrically influenced by ancient Sumerian, Mesopotamian and Babylonian texts such as the Descent of Ishtar; also taking influence from Dante's Inferno, Aliester Crowley, Enochian rituals and even Shakespeare. Musically inspired by Bathory, early Emperor, Slayer, Mayhem, Burzum and many other black and death metal bands. All of it is here, warts and all; from the first demo to the last. There are some sound quality issues but it was meant to be raw and genuine and was simply a bit of fun for me but the material is sound, if the sound quality and execution is a bit lacking here and there.

Iterated Function System Recordings
"The use of disconcerting noise to unsettle the enemy is hardwired into most higher animals, from the warnings and battle roars of confrontational beasts to the trumpets, drums, bugles, bagpipes, devilish war cries, taunts and piercing shrieks used by humans in their conflicts."

This Empty Vessel - Dagon
2nd This Empty Vessel release. Well, I say release, but this one never made it off my hard-drive; until now anyway. Still vaguely within the funeral doom genre, but as genres go, funeral doom is pretty vague so that tag suits it well. More guitar based than the last but entirely instrumental this time. Hope anyone that hears it enjoys it.
This Empty Vessel - The Crawling Chaos
Lovecraftian inspired funeral doom. Yeah I know, what a cliche but I like Lovecraft and I sometimes like funeral doom so whatever. Minimal funeral doom like the rats in the walls; something lurks in the basement and it's hungry for souls!

An Audience of None - dr0ne
3rd installment of An Audience of none, recorded on the 15th of April 2004. Intense drone/noise/ambience. A poke at Sunn 0)))? Perhaps...or perhaps not. Stripped down, consisting of nothing more than bass guitar and droning synths. DEATH TO MUSIC!

An Audience of None - Apollo 13
Recorded on the 24th of December 2003. More noise and doomed drone, but slightly more structured this time and without poking fun at the "scene".
Apollo 13 was the 7th manned mission and 3rd intended to land on the moon. Launched on 11/04/1970, the landing was aborted after the explosion of an oxygen tank which crippled the service module upon which the command module depended. Despite limited power, loss of cabin heat and lack of water and having to jury-rig the carbon dioxide removal system, the crew returned safely to Earth on 17/04/1970.
This recording was somewhat loosely inspired and dedicated to the Apollo 13 mission.

An Audience of None
Recorded on the 19th of October 2002. This is myself and former Dynamical System Collective collaborator Nicholas Pearce. All recorded in one take and "written" as we played it. How to mock the drone and noise scene, not give the slightest of shits and somehow still be taken seriously! This would have been our live performance had we found anyone foolish enough to let us play! Drone/Noise and nothing more.

Uncertainty Principle - Sonic Terror/Toward Oblivion We Walk 2008
In 2008 I recorded these new versions of Sonic Terror and Toward Oblivion We Walk, these recordings represent what U.P would have sounded like live had the band I was assembling not fallen apart. Far from carbon copies of the original tracks, this was the resurrection of Uncertainty Principle after 4 years of inactivity.
